Things to watch out for in Florida:

1. Canadians are taxed at a different rate than Florida residents ... sometimes 3 times higher!!!
2. You can't get insurance and if you get it ... it is eye-poppingly expensive (hurricanes)
3. You will not qualify for any government help in case of disasters.
4. Vacancies are soaring in S. Florida ... likely will not find a tenant.
