Check Your (And Anyone Else's) Assessments And Property Sales Date Here. Free!!
Go to BC Assessments On-Line www.bcassessment.bc.ca and until March 15, 2008, you can check your assessments and all the assessments of any property you want to buy in the province of BC. FREE!!! You can also get all the sales on your street and surrounding area FREE. It is the best summary that I have seen.

Check it out NOW! ALSO, and more importantly (if you want to appeal your assessments) the 2007 Assessment Appeal deadline is January 31, 2008.
The instructions for filing an appeal can be found on the back of the 2006 Property Assessment Notice.
Appeals can be mailed, faxed or hand delivered. There is no appeal after that!
Remember that assessments are based as of July 2nd, 2007, not today's value. If you challenge assessments, you need comparables from last July.
There are approximately 70 Property Assessment Review Panels (PARP) appointed and administered annually by the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue to hear formal complaints between February 1 and March 15. Details at http://www.sbr.gov.bc.ca/parp/.
