We forecast flat prices for Vancouver this year and thatís how we endedÖflat. On a year to date basis, that is. Prices have been higher for the last 3 months in all sectors for the Vancouver Trading area. The single family home price for Vancouver clocks in at $372,700 versus $335,992 last year, the townhouse price rose from $221,800 to $239,700 and condos in December clocked in 9% higher at $183,960 versus $167,400 in December 1998. Volume however was lower in December, but the year-to-date number remains 16% higher.
A good sign is also the drop in Active listings.

Still, falling listings presage better times ahead.
