Another place where prices seem to be bucking the stagnant valley trend is Mission. Well on the other side of the river, but part of the "Fraser Valley" this quiet, but growing municipality doesn't have all the locational advantages of White Rock but you pay a lot less - about $185,740 - for the same typical four bedroom home. According to the statistics, detached home prices in Mission are up 9.8% over last September's level. (What Mission needs is a stronger downtown area, people still go to Maple Ridge to shop).
